Sheweth
That by Order made on the Eleventh Day of July 1757
in Pursuance of an Act of
Parliament passed in the thirtieth Year of the Reign of His late Majestys Intituled An Act
to explain and amend An act made in the Eighteenth Year of His said Majestys Reign to
prevent the Misbehaviour of the Drivers of Carts in the Streets of London and Westminster
and the Limits of the Weekly Bills of Mortality and for other Purposes in the said Act
mentioned The Justices there present did assess and rate that all Good which should be
carried from any of the Keys below Bridge and other Places to any of the Wharf in Tooley
Street not exceeding Symonds Wharf should be paid for at the Prices therein mentioned
The Station's Wharf is adjoining to Symonds Wharf and is only abt. 70 foot
[..] further then the same and Yet Your Petitioners pay Six pence more for every Load
of Goods than theses carried to Symond's Wharf
Your Petitioner therefore most humbly pray this Honble Court
to alter and amend the first mentioned Order and extend the same
to Stanton's Wharf the same being the last Wharf on that Side the
River for the loading of Coasting Vessels.
