Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose Hands and
Seals are hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County ofMiddx(Quorum Unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish ofSt Giles
without Cripplegateaforesaid, ThatKatherine Field< no role >
hathlately come into the said Parish
ofSt Giles without Cripplegate
endeavouring to Settleherself there as
[..] Inhabitant andislike to be Chargeable thereunto, andhas
not brought any Certificate, nor given Notice in Writing, nor gained
any Legal Settlement therein, pursuant and according to the several Acts of
Parliament in that behalf made; And whereas upon the Examination
of the saidKatherine Field< no role >
we do believe the Pre
mises to be true, and that the said Parish ofSt Giles with in Cripplegate
is the Place wherein the saidKatherines Field< no role >

Legally Settled: These are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, to
Command you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish ofSt Giles without Cripplegateforthwith to Remove the saidKatherine
Field< no role >
from the Parish ofSt Giles without Cripplegate
to the Parish ofSt Giles
within Cripplegate
aforesaid, (which we do hereby adjudge to be
the Place ofherlast Legal Settlement) and deliverherto the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some or one of
them, (together with this Precept, or a true Copy thereof) who are
hereby required to receive and provide forherasaSettled Inha
bitant there, until he shall be discharged according to Law.
