An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London, that is to say, at the Parish of Saint Bridget otherwise Bride in the
Ward of Farringdon without in London aforesaid on the twenty fifth day of October in the twenty ninth year of our reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith Etc. before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord
the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the body of Thomas Mccune now here lying dead by the oath of Thomas
Sabine, John Brinkworth, Edward Davis< no role > , Francis Thurkle< no role > , William Martin< no role > , James Purcell< no role > , Edward Baker< no role > , William Prices, Thomas Emery< no role > ,
William Onley, Richard Arnold< no role > , Samuel Tolon< no role > and Edward Camp good and lawful men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly
chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Thomas Mecune< no role > came to his death say
upon their oath that the said Thomas Mecune< no role > on the twenty fourth day of October in the twenty eighth year of the reign of our said Lord the King
being in the First Floor of the Dwelling house of him the said Thomas Mecune situate and being in the Parish and Ward aforesaid in London
aforesaid and being then and there intoxicated and drank with excessive drinking it so happened that she said Thomas Mecune accidentally
casually and by Misfortune fell from the Stair case of the said First Floor of the Dwelling house of him the said Thomas Mecune down the Stairs and
to and against the Ground there and that the said Thomas Mecune< no role > by reason [..] and means of the [..] intoxication and drunkenness aforesaid
being then and there unable to get up and assist himself is so happened that she said Thomas Mecune< no role > by the intoxication and drunkenness
with excessive drinking aforesaid was then and there cheated suffocated and strangled Of which said choaking suffocation and strangling
he the said Thomas Mecune< no role > did then and there instantly die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said Thomas
Mecune in manner and by the means aforesaid came his death and not otherwise In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said
Thomas Sabine< no role > the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set
