aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged<lb></lb>
to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Alexander Shairp came to his death say<lb></lb>
when their oath that the said Alexander Shairp not being of sound mind memory and understanding but lunatic and directed<lb></lb>
on the seventeenth day of February in the year aforesaid a certain Gun of the value of one shilling leaded with Gunpowder and<lb></lb>
caden bullet which he the said Alexander Shairp in Cash his hands their and there had and held to at and against himself<lb></lb>
then and then did shoot off and discharge Giving to himself then and their with the Caden Bullet aforesaid so shot off and<lb></lb>
discharged from the said Gun by force of the Gunpowder aforesaid one mortal wound in and upon the right side of the head of him the<lb></lb>
said Alexander Shairp of the breadth of one Inch and of the depth of three Inches Of which said mortal wound he the said Alexander<lb></lb>
Sharip did then and there die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said Alexander Shairp not being<lb></lb>
of sound mind memory and understanding best lunatic and districted in manner and by the man aforesaid did kill himself<lb></lb>
In Witnesses whereof as well the said Coroner as the said William Matthew Raikes the foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself<lb></lb>
and the rest of his Fellow in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and place first<lb></lb>
