between six and seven in the Evening of Tuesday last Dept. going<lb></lb>
into the Ball Public House in <rs type="placeName" id="LMCLIC65007_geo149">Devonshire Street</rs>

deced sitting in the Tap Room of that House that soon after the<lb></lb>
deced went to the Bar and had a Glass of Gin at the request of a<lb></lb>
Mr. Donnovan who wished to treat him the deced-that Donnavan<lb></lb>
sayed the deced has last him one shilling and nine pence one<lb></lb>
time before to make him Drunk but could not but that then<lb></lb>
he the deced should have as much as he could drink and he<lb></lb>
Donnovan would pay for it-that Donnovan then ordered half<lb></lb>
a pint of Gin to be taken to the deced who was sitting down-that half<lb></lb>
a pint of Gin<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
and als lass was placed before the deced<lb></lb>
who drank it at his Leisure-that two then half pint were in<lb></lb>
placed before the deced who drank them also at his Leisure<lb></lb>
and eat Bread at the same time<del>upon</del>
that the deced was not<lb></lb>
above twenty Minutes drinking the three half Pints of Gin<lb></lb>
Dept. then exportulated with Donnovan for letting the deced<lb></lb>
have so much upon which Donnovan sayed Dann him I dont<lb></lb>
force it upon but he will drink it and if he will I will pay<lb></lb>
for as much as he will drink the deced then called for another<lb></lb>
half Pint but Mr. Price the Landlord who was then in the<lb></lb>
Bar sayed Damn him (meang the deced) shall have no more<lb></lb>
the deced did not appear much intoxicated with the Liquor<lb></lb>
he had drank Dept. has often see him much worse as the<lb></lb>
deced was very much addicted to drinking-that about ½<lb></lb>
past seven Dept. found the deced was gone and afterwards<lb></lb>
he understood from <rs type="persName" id="LMCLIC65007_n158-4">Isaac Newcom</rs>
