The Information of John Bedoit< no role >
Esquire Consul from Sweden to the Court
of Lisbon [..]

taken before me One of his Majesty's
Justice of the Peace for the said
County

Who beingupon Oath [..]
[..] for himself Saith that
being in his way from Lisbon to Stockholm in heeden
and taking London in his way he has for these [..]
five Weeks Past Lodged at the House of Mr. Hatchinson
in Rathbome Place in the Parish of Saint Mary le
Bone in the One Pair of Stairs Floor that on or about Monday
last he carefully Comitted One hundred [mark] Fifty thirty Six Shillings
Piece of new Portugal Gold< no role > Coin & put Tufty of them
into a Leather Glover< no role > and the One hundred into a
Tin Case made for to hold just One hundred pieces
thePut the said Glove and Tin Case into Trunk
in a Back Closet in his said Apartments and locked
them up and also had a great Number of the same
Pieces locked up in a Drawer in his Bed Room
but houm any he does not recollect upon this Informants
casting up his Account with respect to his Expences
and Examining his Money in the Drawer there was not
so much as he Expected he then Examined the Leather
Glove & found that twenty of the said New Portugal
Piece had been taken on day and upon further examining
into the Tin Case found that Eight other of the said New
Portugal Pieces had been taken out of the same &
Six Copper half Pence Placed Amongs the remaining
Part in Order as this Informant believes to conceal
the said Felong And the Informant further saith
that on Friday last that having some Suspicion that
John Johnson< no role > the Person now present who is [..]
