of March 1695 .

Who Saith That on the tenth day of March inst
between the hours of five and Six in the morning
he with some others searching for parpisses and
other disassetted Psons Etc he then name to the house
of John Fletcher< no role > in noble Street whereon the
Slavies he [..] men one Samuel Edoleth< no role > & asking
him what he was he Answered A Silver Smith
then this Informant bid him retire into his Lodgings
where searching he found two Coals and A
Waste coate of another Psons; This Informant
Asking him whose they were, which the
said Edolph resplyed they were his, but the
Land lords Daughter comeing & this Informant
Askt her whoes they were & She said they were
the other Lodgers Inquiring where he was she could
not tell, then Attempting to god up into the Garrett
was hindred by A Strong Trasp door which was barrd
downe then this Informant sending for A Smith broke
it spen In the mean him the said Edolphs Bed fellow
made his Escape out at A Window ever the door as this
informant afterwards Aprhended And this Informant
further saith that in searching in the said Garrett
he found severall ounces of Silver unwrought
and Apell of Copper & Eselter mettall also A fire
and some Silver in A Vott which was yet Warme
with Severall other melting potts which were also
warm, forty five halfe Crownes of base
mettall & 57 Shilllings with some Clippings
of Silver alsoe Severall pair of Shear [..] files
& other Working Cools.
