an reputed Papists It was enacted that<lb></lb>
it should and might be lawfull for any two or<lb></lb>
more Justices of the Peace who should know or<lb></lb>
Suspect any Person to be a Papist or should be<lb></lb>
informed that any Person was or was Suspected to<lb></lb>
be a Papist to tender and they were thereby authorized<lb></lb>
and required to ender to such Person so known or<lb></lb>
Suspected to be a Papist the Declaration set down<lb></lb>
and expressed in an Act of Parliament made in<lb></lb>
the thirtieth Year of the Reign of the late King<lb></lb>
Charles the Second Intituled an Act for the more<lb></lb>
effectuall preserving the Kings Person and Government<lb></lb>
by disabling Papists from Setting in either House<lb></lb>
of Parliament to be by him made repeated and<lb></lb>
Subscribed and if such Person so required should<lb></lb>
refuse to make repeat and Subscribe the said<lb></lb>
Declaration a refuse or for bear to appear<lb></lb>
before the said Justices for the making repeating<lb></lb>
and Subscribing thereof on Notice to him given<lb></lb>
or left at his usual place of abode by any<lb></lb>
Person authorized in that behalf by Warrant<lb></lb>
under the hands and Seals of the said Two<lb></lb>
Justices He was by that Act prohibited to<lb></lb>
have or keep in his House or elsewhere or in<lb></lb>
the possession of any other Person to his use or at<lb></lb>
his Disposition any Arms Weapons Gun powder<lb></lb>
or an Aunnition other than such necessary Weapons<lb></lb>
as should be allowed to him by Order of the Justices<lb></lb>
of the Peace at their General Quarter Sessions<lb></lb>
for the defence of his House or Person and that<lb></lb>
any two or more Justices of the Peace by Warrant<lb></lb>
under their hands and Seals by Virtue of that Act<lb></lb>
might authorize and impower any Person or Persons<lb></lb>
in the day time with the Assistance of the Constable<lb></lb>
or his Deputy or the Tythingman or Head borough<lb></lb>
where the Search should be to Search for all Arms<lb></lb>
Weapons Gun powder or Amunition which should be in<lb></lb>
the House Custody or Possession of any such Papist or<lb></lb>
reputed Papist and Seize the same for the use of his<lb></lb>
Majesty And further that no Papist or reputed Papist so</p>
