for the County of Middx

The humble Petition of Joseph
Whitney
< no role > of the Parish of St James
Clerkenwell in the said County.

Sheweth

That your Petitr: was by several of the Inhabitants of the
said Parish last Weeke malltiously chosen to serve the Office of
Scavenger therein But Forasmuch as your Petitr: having
[..] ed but Two yeares in the said Parish and being aged
above Sixty yeares and very Infirme and Diverse
of his Neighours who have Lived many yeares in the
said Parish not having as yett served the said Office
Soe that your Petitioner humbly Conceives himselfe
aggrieved

Your Petitr. therefore humbly prays
your Worshipps will be pleased to
order that he may be Discharged.
from serving the said Office And
that such other Person may be
Chosen in his Roome As unto
yor: Worspps shall seeme Meete

And yor: Petitr: shall ever pray Etc
