<p n="313">Whereas in & by an Act of parliament made in the second<lb></lb>
yeare of the reign of his present Matie King George the<lb></lb>
second touching the licensing Retalers of Brandy and<lb></lb>
other distilled liquors, and for better regulation of Licenses<lb></lb>
for common Inns and Alehouse, it was<del>is</del>

Enacted That from and after the <rs type="date" id="LMSMPS50282_date84">twenty fourth day of-<lb></lb>
June one thousand seven hundred and twenty nine</rs>

, no<lb></lb>
licence should be granted to any person to keep a common<lb></lb>
Inn or Alehouse, or to retale any Brandy or strong-<lb></lb>
waters, but at a General Meeting of the Justices of the<lb></lb>
peace, acting in the Division where the said person-<lb></lb>

to be holden for that purpose, on the first day<lb></lb>
of September yearly, or within twenty days after, or<lb></lb>
at any other general Meeting of the said Justices to be<lb></lb>
holden for the Division Wherein the said person resided<del>resides</del>

and all licences, which should, after the said <rs type="date" id="LMSMPS50282_date85">twenty<lb></lb>
fourth day of June one thousand seven hundred and<lb></lb>
twenty nine</rs>

for the general Licensing of Alehouse keepers and<lb></lb>
Retalers of Brandy and other distilled liquors, were<lb></lb>
(before the making of the said recited Act) holden<lb></lb>

out than att any other time in as much as<lb></lb>
