And the petrs. by their sd. peticon settforth that on the<lb></lb>

a Rate of five pence in the<lb></lb>
pound was made upon the Inhabitants of the said<lb></lb>
parish by the Constables Churchwardens overseers<lb></lb>
of the poor surveyors of the high ways & other Inhitants<lb></lb>
(pursuant to notice duely given) to defray & pay-<lb></lb>
the Rakers, Scavengers & such like officers wages<del>& expences</del>
<lb></lb>
to take & carry away the dirt, ashes, fifth & soile<lb></lb>
out of the said parish and their other Charges and<obscured></obscured>
And the petrs. by their said<lb></lb>
peticon complained that the sd Rate of five pence<lb></lb>
in the pound was defective & not sufficient to-<lb></lb>
defray & pay the said wages Charges & expences, And they<lb></lb>
therefore prayed releif in the premisses, the<lb></lb>
matter of which peticonwas appointed<lb></lb>
to be heard & determined by this Court on<lb></lb>
Wednesday the <rs type="date" id="LMSMPS50286_date141">eleventh day of October instant</rs>

And on hearing of Councell on both sides on-<lb></lb>
that day the hearing & determining the matter<lb></lb>
