At the General Quarter session of the peace of our sovereign Lord the King
holden for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in St. John street in the
County aforesaid by adjornment on Friday the fourteenth day of
October in the twenty second year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George
the second King of Great Britain Etc

Whereas the Church wardens & Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Christ church
in the City of London Exhibited their humble Petition & appeal unto she
Court of the last General Quarter Session of the peace holden for the County
of Middx on Monday the fourth day of July last setting forth That by
virtue of an Order or Pass warrant under the hands & seals of Henry
Trent< no role > & James Eckers< no role > all Esquires two of his Maties Justices of the peace
for the City & Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middx (one
where of being of the Quorum) bearing date the sixteenth day of may
last Mary sparkes< no role > wife of Benjamin sparkes< no role > was removed from
the parish of St. James within the Liberty of Westminster in the County
of Middx unto the said parish of Christ church in the City of London
alledging the said parish of Christchurch to be the place of her last legal
settlement And that the Petitioners conceiving themselves agrieved
by the said warrant or Order of the said two Justices did therefore appeal
to the said Court therefrom, And whereas by an Order made by the
Court of the said last General Quarter session [..] on the said fourth day of
July last the hearing of the said appeal was adjourned untill this present
General Quarter session of the Peace holden for the said County of Middx
And the said appeal being appointed to be heard on this fourteenth
day of October instant, Now upon hearing of Council on both sides
It is Ordered by this Court that the hearing & determining the matter
of the said appeal be and the same is hereby further adjourned
untill the next General session of the peace to be holden for the same
County, And that the Church wardens & Overseers of the poor of both
the said parishes and all persons concerned do attend the Court of the
said next General session of the Peace to be holden for the sd. County
of Middx by adjornment on Thursday of eighth day of December next at
ten of the clock in the forenoon to hear & abide the Judgment and
determination of the same Court touching the said appeal,
