Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Mary
White Chapel
unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the County aforesaid,
That

last Whitsuntide, the Daughter of
Thomas

(who is a Soldier
in His Majesty's Service)

his Wife (who is run away and
cannot be found)
lately intrudedinto your said Parish of St. Mary
White Chapel
there to inhabit as a Parishioner, contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and is there like to become charge-
able, if not timely prevented: And Whereas, upon due Examination
or and Enquiry. made into the Premisses upon Oath, it appears unto
us. and we accordingly adjudge, That the said

and Sarah his Wife and their said Child
do belong to the Parish of Tunbridge
aforesaid
and that the said Sarah the Daughter is
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of St. Mary White
Chapel
in the said county and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said
Thomas Webb< no role >
and Sarah his Wife
and their said Child is in the said Parish of
Tunbridge
These are therefore in His Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-warden and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Mary White Chapel
aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said Sarah
Webb< no role >
the Daughter
from your said Parish of St. Mary
White Chapel
to the said Parish of Tunbridge
and her deliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in His Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith
to receive the said Sarah Webb< no role >
the Daughter
into their said Parish and provide for her
as their own Parishioner. Given under our Hands and Seals, the
Seventeenth Day of November in the Year of our
