At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord
the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall
in Saint John Street (by Adjournment) on Thursday the 11th
day of April 1771. and in the Eleventh Year of the Reign
of King George the Third.

Benjamin Cowley< no role > Esquire one of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this County now representing to this Court that the Gentlemen
who are Commissioners of the Land Tax in the Division of
Finsbury are desirous of holding their Meetings at Hicks Hall
aforesaid instead of the Red Lion Street Coffee house if convenient
and agreeable to the Justices of the Peace And this Court
being willing to Accomodate the Commissioners herein Doth
Order that they have liberty from time to time during the
pleasure of His Majesty's Justices of the peace in Session
Assembled or for the time being to meet and sit in the Great
Dining Room or other convenient part of the said Hall so as
such Meetings may not interfere with the Sessions or Meetings
of His Majesty's Justices of the peace of this County for the
time being or of the Commissioners of the Sewers The said
Commissioners of the Land Tax making reasonable satisfaction
to the House keeper for his Trouble and charges occasioned by
such their Meetings,
