Middlesex


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King
holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint
John Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday the
Twenty fourth day of October - in the Eleventh Year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc

< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices
of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the
County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanor Committed [..]
the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Hitcham in
the County of Bucks Did at the last General Session of the Peace held for this County
Exhibit their Petition and Appeal Setting forth That by a Pass Warrant or Order
under the hands and Seals of William Timbrell< no role > and William Rugge< no role > Esquires two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the
said County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the
Seventeenth day of July 1771. Thomas Wigmore< no role > aged about Eleven Years Son of
Richard Wigmore< no role > by Phillis< no role > his wife both deceased was removed and conveyed from the
Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the said City and Liberty to the said Parish
of Hitcham as the place of his last legal settlement Whereby the Petitioners conceived
themselves to be Aggrieved Which said Appeal was duly Adjourned unto this day
Now upon hearing of the said Appeal and what hath been Alledged on either side by
the respective Churchwardens and Overseers their Council and Witnesses in and
concerning the Premisses it is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is
hereby Allowed And the said Pass Warrant or Order of the said two Justices is hereby
vacated and set a Side And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Hitcham do forthwith convey and deliver
back the said Thomas Wigmore< no role > (together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church
wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint George Hanover Square
or to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive and provide for him
until they can Free themselves from the charge thereof by dye course of law And
it is also further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint George Hanover Square or some or one of them Do forthwith
pay or cause to be paid to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of Hitcham or to some or one of them the Sum of
for their charges and expences in relieving and maintaining the said Thomas
Wigmore
