At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden
for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the
said County (by adjournment) on Thursday the Twentyeth day of February
in the Twelfth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third
King of Great Britain Etc.Before Saunders Welch< no role > , William Shakespear< no role >
John Spencer Colepeper< no role > , Benjamin Cowley< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows
Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lord
the King in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanors committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Andrew Holbourn above the [..] in the said County Have at this present Session
Exhibited their Petition and Appeal settingforth That by Virtue of an Order or Pass
Warrant under the Hands and Seals of John Walford< no role > and Joseph Girdler< no role > Esquires
two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County (one whereof being
of the Quorum) bearing Date the 14th. day of January last Ann Stopforth single Woman
was removed from the Parish of Saint Luke in the said County to the said Parish of Saint
Andrew Holbourn above the bars as the place of her last legal settlement Whereby
the Petitioners did think themselves aggrieved Now upon hearing of the said
Appeal in the presence and hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Luke And the Consenting by Council to the Allowing
of the said Appeal It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is
hereby Vacated and set aside And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holdorn above the
bars do forthwith Convey and deliver back the said Ann Stop forth together with
a Copy of this Order unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Luke or to some or one of them who are hereby required to
receive and Provide for the said Ann Stop forth until they can free themselves
from the Charge thereof by due Course of Law
