Middlesex


At the General Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the
King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in
Saint John Street in the said County (By Adjournment) on-
Thursday [..] the Ninth day of December in the fourteenth
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King
of Great Britain Etc.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Christ Church in the City of London Have at this present Session
Exhibited their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of a-
Pass Warrant under the hands and Seals of two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (whereof one is of the
Quorum therein mentioned) bearing Date the Eighteenth Day of September
1773 Margaret Poole< no role > Singlewoman was removed from the Parish of
Saint Pancras in the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Christ-
Church in the said City as the last Legal Place of her Settlement Whereby
the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved Whereupon at the request
of the said Petitioners It is Ordered that the [..] Benefit of their said
Appeal be saved unto them and that the hearing and determining [..] thereof
[..] be and the same is hereby adjourned until the next General Quarter
Session of the Peace to be holden for this County and that on Notice hereof
in the mean time to be given to the Church Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Pancras in the said County of
Middlesex they and all Persons concerned do attend the Court at Hicks
Hall aforesaid on Thursday the thirteenth Day of January next at the-
Hour of Eight in the Forenoon of the same Day to hear and abide the
Judgment and Determination of the said Court touching the said
Appeal.

The Pauper Margaret Poole< no role > about 5 Years ago went to Live with
Mr. Robt. Palser< no role > then & still an Housekeeper in the Parish of Christ Church
London-He lived her for a year at the Yearly Wages of £3..5s..

The continued in his Service a Year all But 4 or 5 days when he
paid her, her Wages & she left his Service owing to her Bad Conduct
on
