The Humble Petition of John Hughes< no role >
of Marylebone Lan e in the Parish of St. Marylebone Streetin the County of
Middlesex Postmaster

Sheweth


That Your Petitioner was on or about the Twenty of
day of June last Past Convicted by John Spiller< no role > Esquire one
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County for
that he did on the Twenty fourth day of May last past at the
Parish of Isleworth in the Said County unlawfully keep use
and employ a certain Carriage for the purpose of conveying
passengers for hire to and from different places within the
Kingdom of Great Britain to wit to and from Hounslow to
Turnham Green in the said County without being first duly
licensed agreable to Act of parliament passed in the
twenty fifth year of the reign of his present Majesty
Intitled "An Act for repealing the duties on Licences taken out
" by Persons letting horses for the purpose of travelling post and on
" horses let to hire for travelling port and by time and on Stage
" Coaches and for granting other duties in Lien thereof and also
" additional duties on horses let to hire for travelling post and
" by Time " And Your Petitioner Conceiving himself aggrieved
there by Doth humbly pray to be permitted to appeal
from Such Conviction And that you will please to
Appoint a day for that purpose

And your Petitioner Shall Ever pray Etc
