Rope could not be got down the Stockings at

The Governor finds that in Cell No. 1 that [..]

The Governor verily believes this to be the
best account that can be collected as to
the Escapes and begs to observe that he
has spared no pains or Expence in order to
retake them and as a proof, he has had
hand and posting Bills stuck up through
London and most of the principal Towns
in England with a description of their
persons and a reward of £140 for the
whole in proportion, in addition to this
he has caused the same to be inserted in the Hue &
Cry for more Exclusive publication &
Circulation and the Governor his sent [..]
son and Nicholson, the Clerk to the prison [..]
to Liverpool by two separate convey
on account of a Letter written by Nelson
from which he has great reason to support
they are gone to that place that he
has also procured for his son a Letter (to
the Mayor of Liverpool to render him assistance
