Whereas Letitia Clayton< no role > Singlewoman in her
Examination in Writing and upon Oath the Eighth day of
May Lastbefore James Mercer< no role > Esquire one of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County
did declare that She was delivered of a Male Bastard
Child at the House No.17 Oxford Chapel Court in the Parish
of St. Mary le Bone on the Twelfth day of March 1792
And further that Robert Walters< no role > Butler to Lady
Mary Coker of Mount Street Grosvenor Square was the real
and true Father of the said Child And Whereas the
said Robert Walters< no role > did in Consequence thereof enter into
Recognizance with sufficient Sureties to abide and perform
such Orders as should be made in pursuance of the Act
of the 18th. Year of the Reign of her late Majesty Queen
Elizabeth these are therefore to Certify his Majestys
Justices of the Peace at their General Quarter Sessions of
the Peace for this County that the said Robert Walters< no role >
hath clearly indemnified and exonerated the said Parish
of St. Mary le Bone on account of all and all manner of
Expences which have been incurred by reason of the
Maintenance and lying in of the said Letitia Clayton< no role >
and all other Expences relative thereto Witness our Hands
this 26th day of October 1798.
