White Chaple in the County of Middlesex
the prosecutor abovenamed Maketh Oath and Saith that on Thursday the
Second day of May Instant he met with the Defendants abovenamed in
Broad Place in the Parish of Saint Mary White Chaple
in the said County
of Middlesex
when he this deponent happened to Notice a New Jachet

one of the Defendants had on upon which and with
out any Provocation whatever Knock'd down him this Deponent
with his fists Several times And not Satisfied with that took out a
Knife and Cutt him dangerously in Several Parts about his head
face neck and other Parts of his body so that his life was greatly
Endangerd and this Deponent further Saith that the other Defendant

who was Standing Bye bryed go it Cutt away and
further Encouraged the said William English< no role >
to act in the Manner
he done And had it not have been for the Interference of a
person of the Name of George Rhodes< no role >
he verily believes he the said
William English< no role >
would have Murdered him And this Deponent lastly
Saith that William Barnett< no role >
was Committed to Prison for Several
days until he this deponent was Pronounced out of Danger [..]
other he was admitted to Bail And the other Defendant William English< no role >
has not as yet been taken
but he this Defendant Verily believes he absconded to avoid the
same this Deponent Under all the Circumstances of this base Prays
this Honorable Court to Grant him a Bench Warrant and make
an Order that the said Defendants shall giveNoticeto his
Solicitor forty Eight [..] Notice of Bail
