Mary Craven< no role > Widow at the Black Boy in the Broad Way
on her Oath saith, that the Deced had lodged in her
House about ten Weeks and that the had very ill health
all that time, Says that last Wednesday about five
o ClockDeponentDeced was in Deponent Tap room
says that she went into the Cellar to draw Boor and
when she returned missed the Deced, and on asking
where he was, was informed by her Daughter Margaret
Craven
< no role > that he was gone up Stairs, Says that about Seven
o' Clock Deponent ordered said Daughter to carry up the
Deceds Chamber pot, which she did,and on herSays that
about Eleven o' Clock Thomas Ross< no role > came into the House
and soon after went up Stairs in order to go to bed,
(being used to lye with the Deced) says that Said Ross
soon came down again, and informed Deponent that
Deced was not in Bed, Upon which Deponent and Ross
went out to see if the Deced was gone into the Necessary
and not finding him there, theybyimmediately after
discovered him hanging ley a Cord fastened to a Rafter
in a Shed belonging to said Craven, whereupon Mrs. Smith
and Mr. Holmes were called in,and where they were can
there, Lifted up the Deced while Thomas Moss< no role > cut the Cor

who immediately come, and Mr. Ross then told Deponent
that Deced was Dead but she did not go the deced Deponent says that during the time
that Deced lodged with her, Deced was very Melancholy
and spoke but little, says she heard Deced say that
he wished himself Dead

James Osborne< no role > of Petty France Corn chandler on his Oath saith
that he has known Deced Six or seven Years, says that
for between two and three years last past, he verity believes
that the Deced's was not of sound Mind, Deponent observed
that the Deced's behavior during that time was very different
from what it had been before
