Information taken this twelfth day of May 1763 .
on an Inquisition on View of the Body of Mary
Macglouson
< no role > an Infant, lying Dead in the Parish
of St. John the Evangelist with in the City and Liberty
of Westminster

Joseph Howard< no role > Servant to Mr. Patten at the Westmr. Arms Victualler
on his Oath saith That yesterday about two o' Clock as he was
carrying out Beer, he saw a Cart drawn by some Horses
(how many he cannot tell) in little Peter Street in the said
Parish of St. John the Evangelist , and a Man (unknown to Deponent) who drove the
Horses being then on the Near side of them, but is not sure
whether the driver had hold of either of the Horses, or not
says that he saw the off Wheel of the said Cart pass over the
Head of the deced, says he then went up to the deced, and
observed the Head of the deced very much bruised, the
face having a large Wound, and another on the right Arm, [..]
says that the deced was motionless and immediately Died,
Deponent says that he verily believes the driver of the Horses
could not at the time the Wheel went over the deced, see
the deced who was on the other side the Horses, and that
the said Driver did not afterwards attempt to make his Escape

Jane [..] Payne< no role > of Marsham Street , Wife of Thomas Payne< no role > on her
Oath saith, that Yesterday Afternoon she was in Little Peter
Street Westmr . and saw a Cartdrawnloaded with Stone and drawn
by three horses (as she believes) pass by, says that a Man (whom
she knew not) drone the Horses, was then on the near side
of them, and that he lead the fore Horse, says that after the
fore Horse and Man had passed by the Door where the Deced
lived, the deced came out, for Deponent in sure Deced was
not at the Door when the Man passed by, says that the
off Wheel of said Cart went over the Head of the Deced, by
which the Deceds Head was very much bruised and the
Brains come out and that the Deced immediately Died,
