March 1766 at the Parish of St. George Hanover Squ [..]
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of Middle [..]
on and Inquisition taken on View of the Body of a
Woman Unknown lying Dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

William Matthews< no role > of Chelsea Labourer on his Oath
saith That yesterday about two o'Clock in the Afternoon
Dept. was at Work at the Chelsea Waterworks in the Parish
of St. George Hanover Square Says that he saw the Deced ly [..]
upon the Mud with her face downwards on the outside
of the Water Works, in the Bed of the River Thomas Says
the Tide then Ebbed and the Deced was left there by the
water as Dept. believes, Says that he went away and
returned there in about half and hour when he found
that the Deced had been pulled to the Shore on the in [..]
of the Water Works, Says that the Deced [..]
Dead but that he did not touch her. nor did he observe
any Marks of Violence upon her And that he did not
know the Deced, but believes that she was Drowned in [..]
the River Thames
