Informations taken this Thirty first day of
July 1771 . at the Parish of St. Mary le Strand with
the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of Rachell Richabe< no role > lying
dead in the said Parish Liberty and County

Edward Yale< no role > of Catherine Street in the Parish of St. Mary
le Strand Surgeon on his Oath saith That a Parter came to
Dept. this Morning between Nine and Ten o'Clock desiring
him to come to the Bell Inn to bleed a Person, Says
that he immediately went with the Man and found
the Deced there in a Room, one pair of Stairs without
any Symptoms of Life, Says that he bled the Deced in
the left Arm, but she bled aspoonful only, and was
dead, but not Cold, Says that he Examined the Body
carefully and found no Marks of violence thereupon
and believes that the Deced died a natural Death in
affit.

Charles Smith< no role > (a Lodger at Mr. Reid a Staymaker
in King Street Golden Square ) Taylor & Staymaker on
his Oath saith, That he has known the Deced for twelve
Months last past, Says, that he called last Night
about Eight o'Clock at the Sign of Lord Craven in Drury
Lane , where Deced then lived, and Deced and this
Dept. went to a House in the Hay Market kept by
Mr. Armstrong and supped there with some Company
Says that they both came from thence between Eleven
and Twelve o'Clock last Night and went to the Sign
of the Bell Inn in the Strand , and asked for a Lodging
Says that they were Shown into a Room one pair of Stairs
where they Slept together, Says that the Deced got
up between nine and Ten o'Clock this Morning and
put on some of her Cloaths, but on a Sudden laid her
self down again upon the Bed, and said, Lord have
Mercy upon me, or Lord bless me, I shall die, Says
