Informations taken this Eleventh day of
April 1772 at the Parish of St. James within the
Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of Joshua Burr< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty and County.

William Holland< no role > on his Oath saith That about
a Month age he was coming with Joshua Burr< no role >
the Deced from Mary le bone Subscription School
about Twelve o'Clock at Noon, That the Deced was
a little way before him in Oxford Street , when
Mr Cockman informed Dept. that one of his School
Fellows was hurt by a Horse in Mr. Burkinshaw
riding House in Oxford Street , says that he went
to the Deced in said Riding House and saw him
Bleeding very much from a Wound in his Forehead
over his Right Eye, Says that the Deced desired
this Dept. to go to his Mother, which he did and
Deced afterwards told him that he was hurt by
a Horse.

Elizabeth Oakenshaw< no role > Mother to the Deced on her
Oath saith That on Tuesday March 17th. last she was
informed by William Holland< no role > that the Deced was
hurt, upon which she went to a Stable Yard in
oxford Street where she found the Deced, with his Clothes
Bloody and a Wound in his Forehead, Says that She
took the Deced home to her Lodging in Marlborough
Row, where she kept him until the Thursday following
when he was carried to St. George's Hospital where he
languished until the Ninth day of April Instant and
then died of the Wound abovementioned as this
Dept. believes, and says that the Deced told her that he
reced the hurt from a Horse's Fore feet.
