a Man was Hanging in the Shed, Says that he
looked in there and saw the Deced Hanging by a
Sash line fastened to the Quarter in the Shed and appeared
to be dead, and Dept. believes that he had Hanged
there several days, and Dept. verily believes that
the Deced Hanged himself, Says that the Deced
used to be at times, particularly of late, low
spirited and Melanchely, and Deced about three weeks
ago told Dept. that he thought Drowning the
easiest Death.

James Cross< no role > of Jermyn Street Butcher on his
Oath saith That he has known the Deced about
Seventeen Years and saw him frequently, Says
that he Supped with the Deced on Thursday Night
Decr. 30. last at the Sign of the Swan in Long Acre
that the Deced appeared to be Melancholy and
low Spirited, and had been so at times, and that
the Deced's Behaviour lately was different from
what it used to be
