attempted to speak but said nothing intelligible<lb></lb>
Says that Mr. Burnett the Surgeon came soon after<lb></lb>
who applied Dressings to those parts of the Deced<lb></lb>
Which were burnt, and tho' all proper care was<lb></lb>
taken the Deced died in less than an hour after<lb></lb>
he saw her, and Says that her Death was caused<lb></lb>

the Deced lying on her Face upon the Floor by the Couch<lb></lb>
and near the Bedchamber Door with her Clothes on Fire<lb></lb>
Says that she spoke to the Deced, and that the Deced<lb></lb>
said "Betty several times, and that she had put<lb></lb>
the Candle upon the floor", and that she Deced repeated a great<lb></lb>
many times". Say that she took the Deced up and<lb></lb>
endeavoured to extinguish the Flames, That the other<lb></lb>
Maids were called up, and assisted to lay the Deced<lb></lb>
upon her Bed, Says that the Deced's Garters were<lb></lb>
found upon the Table, and Dept. believes that the Deced<lb></lb>
Cloaths took Fire in taking them off, Says that no<lb></lb>
Person was in the Dining Room with Deced from the<lb></lb>
time that John came down with the Things after Supper<lb></lb>
until John and this Dept. went up again and found<lb></lb>
the Deced lying upon the Floor</p>
