Informations taken this Sixteenth
day of July 1788 at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Midesex upon an Inquisition touching
dead in the Parish Liberty & County

Thomas Seddle< no role > of Baffersea in the County of
Surry Waterman on his Oath saith, That on
Monday Morning last between three and four
o'Clock the fourteenth of July Instant this Dept.
was rewing his Boat down the River Thomas
and between Barulagh Cause Way and the
Water Works he saw something floating down
the River. That he with his Small lifted
up the Deced, when Dept. observed it to be
the Body of a Man Says that he tied a
Rope to the Deced's Arm pulled him to the Shore and fastaned him
to a Stump in the Ground near the Spread
Eagle upon Mill Bank in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square and left the Deced
there, being then about four o'Clock, Says
that he observed no Marks of violence
upon the Deced, and that he appeared to
have been several days Drowned
