Examination TextAnn Thompson aged Seventy two years in the Workhouse of and in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields on her Oath saith that she never was Married nor bound an Apprentice that she was a Yearly hired Servant with Mrs Allen in Spring Gardens in the aforesaid Parish within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex for the space of about three Years & a half all under one hiring at the Yearly Wages of ffive pounds for the first Year and Six Pounds a Year for the remaining part of the said Term (diet and Lodging) quitted the same about Eighteen Years ago, that she hath not kept House rented a Tenement of ten Pounds by the Year paid parish Taxes nor been a Yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve Months together since. // Sworn the 4th Day August 1786 Before John Collick // Ann Thompson her Mark // CCWd // P
