Examination TextJane Grimes aged about 22 years in the Workhouse Saith she was never married never was an Apprentice or yearly Servant was born in St Margarets parish in Westmr Saith who was brought to bed of a male Bastard Child on Monday the 21st of October Instant in the Workhouise of & in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields since Christened Matthew and that one Matthew Cox a Journeyman-shoemaker who now works some where Vinegar Yard had Carnall knowledge of her Body about one year & an half at the house of one Mr Bowen in kinnastons Alley St Martin Lane and severall times afterwds & that about a month before Christmas last hired Lodgings of Mr Miller in St Martins Lane where she this Depont & the sd Matthew Cox lived & Cohabited together as man & Wife till about Weeks agoe when he the sd Matthew Cox left her & further Saith that he the sd Matthew Cox is the true & only ffather thereof & no man else
