Examination TextBathsheba ffelix aged about 25 years now in the Workhouse of and belonging to the parish of St Martin in the ffields was never married, that she was delivered of a ffemale Bastard Child in the Workhouse aforesaid of the said parish of St Martin in the ffields on the 19th day of December last past Since Christned Elizabeth and that one William Armstrong now or lately Clerk to a Brewhouse in White Cross Street by Cripplegate had Carnall Knowledge of her Body on a Bed in a Room one pair of Stairs in the house of one Mr Jones in Angel Court Drury Lane Sometime in the Month of March last and Several times Since at divers other places at one of which times he begat her with Child of the Said ffemale Bastard Child And that he the said William Armstrong isthe true and only ffather thereof And no Man else.
