Examination TextJohn Mason aged about fforty Years that he came out of St Thomas hospital this day where he hath been abt 12 months That he is by Trade a Confectioner and served his Apprenticeship to that Business in Long Lane near Smithfield in the Parish of Saint Bartholomew the Great London and since kept House in Pump Court in the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields for which he paid the yearly Rent of Ten pounds to Mr Burges at Somerset House and that while he lived in that House he paid his Rate to the Poor being the Sum of Ten shillings and Eight Pence for the Year and Saith that he kept the said House in Pump Court aforesaid upwards of the Space of Two Years and left it abt one year ago and hath been as aforesaid ever since hath one Child by Rachael his Wife to whom he was marryed at Ludgate Church Twenty one years ago named Elizabeth aged about twelve years now in the workhousein this parish with her Mother and never a Servant or Apprentice Sworn the 26 Day of April 1737 before me Val Hilder John Mason
