Hospll. of Bethlem undr. the Hands of the worsppll. Mr: Thomas

15th: Octr: 1701

Steward of Bethlem to
keep accots of Wardrobe
in a Book. Etc:

This Comittee being mett in pursuance of an Order of Court of
the Tenth of this instant October & haveing inspected & per used
the Accompts of Thomas Yates< no role > Steward of the said Hsopll. concerning
his receipts & disbursemts: for the wardrobe of the sd. Hospll doe find & That
the said Accots. being of long standing & kept mostly in odd paprs.
for severall yeares the same are very intricate soe that this Comittee
cannot be able to undr. stand the same in every particular
but upon the best Examinacon they can make thereof It doth
appeare That there is due to the said Thos. Yates< no role > upon the ballance
of the said Accots the Summ of Thirty one pounds two Shillings &
three pence to Michas last And this Comittee are of opinion
That for the future the sd. Thomas Yates< no role > doe keepe the Accots of
the said wardrobe in a book by the way of Debtor & Creditor
and that he produce his said book to the weekly Comittee
for the said hospll. who are weekly to direct wt. clothing shall be
delivered out to the [..] patients from time to time and
that Mr. Trear doe pay to the sd. Steward such Sume of money,
as the sd. Comittee or any two of them shall find necessary for
yt: purpose
And the said Report being here duely weighed & considerd is
Confirmed by this Court And it is Ordered that the same be
Observed & performed & accordingly
