maketh oath that her Said husband is by birth a Foreigner
being born at Rome as he has informed this Deponent & as this
Depon Verily believes That to her Knowledge or belief her
Said husband never did any Act to gain a Settlement for himself
in Great Britain That this Deponent can give no Account
respecting the Settlement of his Parents That She this Depont
before her marriage with her said husband was hired by & lived
as a hired Servant by the Year at Certain Yearly Wages with
her Aunt Isabella Bellamy< no role > in Anchor Rope Alley in the
Parish of Saint George in the County of Middlesex & Continued
in Such Service for Several Years & by means there of gained a
Legal Settlement there That She this Deponent has not Since done
any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement other than what she
might have Acquired by her Marriage in manner as before
mentioned That she this Deponent hath a Daughter non
living named Catherine Michell< no role > aged near Twenty one Years
the lawful Issue of this Deponent by her said husband who
was born in Anchor Rope Alley in the Said parish of Saint
George who is at present likely to become Chargeable to the
Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the County of
Middlesex & who hath never been bound an Apprentice or ever
lived as a hired Servant for a Year or done any Act to gain
a Settlement in her own right.

Twenty Years ago he Rented a house of the yearly Rent
of Sixteen Pounds in the Parish of Saint Botolph without
Aldgate in the County of Middlesex & Continued therein for
the Space of a Year & upwards and by means thereof gained
a legal Settlement here That he this Deponent has not
Since Rented a house of the yearly Rent or Value of Ten
Pounds nor Served any Parish office or paid any Poors
Rates or Kings Tax or done any Act to his Knowledge
or belief to gain a Subsequent Settlement.
