Alice Story< no role > This name instance is in set 2181. the Wife of Thomas Story< no role > who
is now at Kingston in Jamaica as she this Deponent believes
maketh oath That divers Years ago her said husband lived
as an Apprentice With Veritas Humphrys< no role > in the parish of
Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the County of Middlesex
to be taught by him the Trade of a Gun Smith Which the Said
Humphrys then & there carried on That her Said husband
Continued with him for that purpose for the Space of Six Years
& upwards but was never bound by Indenture or other Writing
or Instrument to the said Humphrys as he has informed this
Deponent & as this Deponent Verily believes That She this
Deponent can give no other Account respecting the Settlement
of her said husband nor Can She give any Account respecting
the Settlement of his Parents or either of them That this
Deponents Father Adam Beale< no role > Several years ago Rented
a House in Upper Eastsmithfield in the said parish Where he
Carried on the Trade of a Taylor & was Charged to and paid
Poors Rates for the same & by means thereof gained a legal
Settlement there at Which time this Deponent was a Single
woman & lived with him appart of his Family That she this
Deponent Went afterwards with her said Father as part
of his Family to the parish of Bromley near Bow in
the County of Middlesex Where he lived as a Lodger for
near two Years but did not gain any Settlement there, in
the Space of Which time she this Deponent was married
aged 17 Years & Some the & Thomas< no role > aged about Six Years their lawful Issue
to her said husband there by whom She death 2 Child Pen namely James< no role >
