An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the king at London, that is to say at
the parish of Saint Clement East Cheap in the ward of Candlewick in London aforesaid on the twenty first day of
October in the thirtieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great
Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith Etcanbefore Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our
said Lord the king for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the body of Henry Horsley< no role > now
here lying dead by the oath of Thomas Preston< no role > James Wright< no role > Joseph Calon< no role > Williams Myott< no role > George Gimber< no role >
Jonas Waters< no role > William Couplan Henry Stone< no role > Richard Dyche< no role > Robert Spinks< no role > Richard Wood< no role > Daniel Boggis< no role >
Job Pearson< no role > and Thomas Bond< no role > good and lawful Men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly
chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said
Henry Horsley< no role > came to his death say upon their oath that the said Henry Horsley< no role > on the seventeenth day of
October in the year aforesaid being in the landing place of the two pair of Stairs in the dwelling house
of oneDavidson of Clement Lane in the Parish and Ward and aforesaid in London aforesaid Gentleman
and near unto the stair case there he the said Henry Horsley accidentally casually and by misfortune
with great force and violence did fall from the said landing place down the said Stairs By means whereof
he the said Henry Horsley< no role > did then and there receive divers mortal bruises in and upon the neck and
back of him the said Henry Horsley< no role > Of which said mortal bruises he the said Henry Horsley< no role > from the said
seventeenth day of October in the Year aforesaid until the nineteenth day of october in the year aforesaid
as the parish aforesaid in the ward aforesaid in London aforesaid did languish and languishing did live
on which said nineteenth day of October in the year aforesaid as the parish and ward aforesaid in London
aforesaid he the said Henry Horsley< no role > did die and so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do
say that the said Henry Horsley< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by misfortune
was accidentally killed In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Thomas Preston< no role > the
foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence have to
this Inquisition set their hands and seals the dayandyear and Place first above written
