Watchmaker
taken
before one August 13. 1768
Who being upon Oath says that about 4 o' Clock last Thursday
a person now present who calls himself John Farrar< no role >
came
to his house and said he wanted a Watch, that he took the said
John Farrar< no role >
into his Work Shop where they both staid some time
that the said John Farrar agreed with him for a second hand
Silver Watch Maker's Name Dammont Colchester< no role >
which the
said John Farrar< no role >
was to fetch away and pay for the day following,
that this Informant went out of the said Work Shop having left the
said Watch and a Steel Watch Chain upon the Bench, that the
said John Farrar immediatly followed him and went away,
that about a quarter of an hour afterwards he this Informant went
again into the said Work Shop and then perceived that the said
Watch was stolen, and this Informant further says that he does
verily believe that the Said John Farrar stolen the said Watch
as no person was in the Kitchen through which the Way into the said
Work Shop lies except this Informant Wife & Daughter, and as
no person could go into the said Work Shop without being seen
by them
