Wall Lambeth in the County of Surry Gardiner
taken before me this 25th.. day of April 1781.

Who being on Oath says that on Monday morning last about
One o'Clock as this Informant was passing by Privy Gardens,
he was accosted by [..] a Woman now present who calls herself
Mary Brown< no role > , who clasped him round his waist. That
whilst she held him round his Waist he is very sure she stole
his Silver Watch out of his fob pocket, for that imme-
diately before he met the said Mary Brown< no role > he perceived
that his said Watch was in his fob, and immediately
after she had left him he missed it.
