Whereas Complaint was this day made unto as
two of His Matyes Justices of the Peace for the City
& Libtyes thereof (Quor unus) by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of St. Alhallows
Barkin London That one Barbara Clarke< no role > Singlewoman
being with child is lately come into their Sd parish
and is likely to become chargeable to them, and
that she did not give any notice in writeing of her
comeing into their Sd Parish, And whereas it
appeares unto us by the Oath of the Sd Barbara
that her last legall Settlemt. was in the Parish of
St. Michaell Royall where she was an hired Servt .
for A yeare with Mr. Ward on Colledge Hill
in the sd Parish

These are therefore in His Matyes name
Sticklly to charge and Command you forthwith
to convey the sd Barbara Clarke< no role > to the sd
Parish of St. Michaell Royall , and her there
leave with the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the sd Parish who are hereby required to receive
and Pvide for her according to Law Hereof faile
not And this Shall be your warrt. Given undr. our
hands & Seales this Xviijth day of June 1697
