Defendant John Oakes< no role >
now Mayor
of the Corporation of
Gravesendand
Milton in the said County of Kent
on
Saturday the eighth of this present January being then
Indisposed sent for the Deponent on which day this Deponts
attended him and perceived him to be violeutly disorder with
a fever whereupon this Deponent did Administer medicines
proper for his Relief, but his said fever continning very
Violent and dangerous as this Deponent conceived he
advised a Physician to be sent for, and there upon Doctor
Thorp a Physician of Rochester
cause to this Deponents
Assistance, and Administred for the said Defendant And
this Deponent Saith that he hath Several times in every
day non [..] ly atto [..] ant ever since
Saturday last the time he was so taken ill, And Saith
the said Defendant is so exceeding ill, that he is not
capable of Coming abroad nor by any means whatsoever
can be brought to London to attend at the Old Bailey
without great danger of his Life.
