of No. 27 Porter Street Newport Market Dealer in
Butter taken before me this 22nd. day of May 1786

Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Hill< no role > Says
that on the 5th. day of May instant the Draft now produced bearing
date the 5th. day of May 1786 purporting to be a Draft on
John Bland< no role > Benjamin Barnett< no role > Samuel Hoare< no role > Junior and the
said John Hill< no role > Junior by the Names and descriptions of Messrs: Bland
Barnett Hoard & Hill and purporting to be signed
by Nathaniel Hard castle and William Field< no role > by the Names
of Hardcastle & Field for the payment of Four Hundred
and Fifty pounds [..] fourteen shillings to John Wilson< no role > or Bearer
was brought as this Informant verily believes to the [..] Shop
of the Deponent and his said Partners and was paid in
three Bank Notes one of two Hundred one of twenty and
another of Ten Pounds and two Hundred and twenty
pounds fourteen [..] shillings in CashThe
said Joseph Payne< no role > says that last Wednesday was fortnight
between 3 & 4 o Clock in the afternoon he met a person now
present who calls himself Mark Powell< no role > on Snow Hill
that he went with said Powell into an Alehouse in on Snow
Hill where they had forne Beerthat they then walked on
till they came to the corner of King Street [..] Cheapside
when said Powell asked this Informant whether he should be
in the City or not on the Friday followingthat he answered that
there was seldom a day but he was in the Citythat said Powell
[..] told this Informant that he had a sum of Money to receive
which he did not like to receive himself because he had had
a Quarrel [..] with one of the Clerks and that he did not wish
to be seen by him on any AccountThatand that if this
