Hardcastle Field on Bland Barnet Hoare Hill
dated the 5th. day of May 1786

or Bearer for £450..14..and taken before me for
Sampson Wright< no role >
Knt One of his Majesty's Justice of the
Peace for the said County this 22d. day of May 1786
Who saith that he hath known one Thomas
Wilson who said he lived in Burnhill Row
about Six Weeks. That on or about the last
Day of April he met said Wilson at the
Sign of the Ticket Porter in Martin's Lane
Cannon Street
who told him that he should
have a Sum of Money to receive in a few
Days but durst not go to receive it himself
and desired that he this Examinant would
receive it for him That they appointed to
meet on Friday the 5th. of this Instant
for that Purpose on London Bridge
.
That on the Wednesday preceding the said
Friday he this Examint. met a Person now
present who calls himself Joseph Paine< no role >
whom he has known for some Years on
Snow Hill
That he told said Paine that he
should have a Sum of Money to receive
on the Friday and desired that he would receive
it for him, for that he this Examt. had
quarrelled with the Clerk where it was to he
paid and did not like to go for it himself
That said Paine consented thereto and they
agreed to meet on said Friday at the three
Tune in Thames Street
. That on said Friday
Morning he this Examinant and said
