To the Worshipful his Majesty's Justices of
the peace in their Quarter Sessions of the
peace at Guildhall in and for the City of London
assembled

The humble petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Mary le bone
in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of
the right Honorable John Burnell< no role > Esquire Lord Mayor of the said City and
Samuel Swain< no role > Esquire two of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the
said City and Liberties thereof (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the
fifth day of January One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty eight
Margaret Page< no role > mentioned in the said Order to be the Wife of James Page< no role >
who had deserted her and her Son James< no role > aged five years were removed
and Conveyed from and out of the parish of Saint Andrew in Holborn
London unto the said parish of Saint Mary le bone as the Place of the last
Legal Settlement of the said Margaret and her said son

That your Petitioners conceiving themselves aggrieved by
the said Order or Warrant of the said two Justices Do therefore
Appeal to your Worships therefrom And humbly pray that your
Worships will hear them in the premises touching the said
Appeal

And your Petitioners shall ever pray
