Upon informacon given unto this Court by severall Inhitants of
this County that the high street in New Brentford a Market
Towne in this County is very much clogged & filled up with
dirt filth & Soyle to the great annoyance of this Maties. subjects
passing through the same upon their lawfull occacons, And
upon applicacon made unto this Court to have Scavengers
appointed for the cleansing & repaireing thereof pursuant
to the direccons of one Act of Parliamt. made in the first year
of the reign of his present Matie. King George, Entituled An
Act for makeing the Laws for repaireing the high ways
more effectuall This Court doth adjudge it necessary to have
Scavengers appointed for the cleansing & repaireing of the
said street, And doth nominate & appoint James Marlow< no role > &
George Downes< no role > two of the Inhitants of New Brentford
aforesd to be Scavengers for cleansing & repaireing of the
said street for the yeare ensuering, and doth Order that they
forthwith cleanse & repaire the same wherethey shall
adjudge it
it shall be necessary to be done & soe from time to time as occasion shall require And for defraying the
charges thereof It is further Ordered by this Court that
the Churchwardens Overseers of the poor Constables &
other ancient Inhitants of New Brentford aforesd who
are usually present at the makeing of the publique Rates
there Doe forthwith assemble together and make an [..]
