Upon reading the humble peticon & appeale of William
Booth
< no role > Esqr . Andrew Cross< no role > oswald Hoskins< no role > & William Cuxon< no role >
on behalfe of themselves & principall Inhitants of the
parish of St. James Clerkenwell in this County exhibited
unto this Court setting forth that the Petrs. are well assured
the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the said
parish for the yeare last past have disbursed & converted
severall sumes of money belonging to the sd. parish in
publique & extravagant expences & litigious suits, and
concealed their accompts from being inspected into as
hath been usually done in the sd. parish time out of mind
whereby the Petrs. conceive themselves aggreivedAnd
And the Petrs. praying that this Court will be pleased to order
that the accompts of the sd. Churchwardens & overseers of
the poor for the yeare last past may be inspected into &
audited, It is thought fit and ordered by this Court that the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish for
the yeare last past doe attend Isaac Tillard< no role > John Metcalfe< no role >
John Pery< no role > Alexander Ward< no role > Doyly Michel< no role > John Fuller< no role >
John Whetham< no role > Jacob Harvey< no role > & Joseph Hayne< no role > Esqrs . Justices
of the peace for this County inhabiting in or neare the
Division [..] where the said parish doth lye or
any five of them (Quorum unns) at such times & places as
they shall appoint with a true & perfect accompt of all
sumes of Money reced by the said Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor [..] for the use of
the poor of the said parish or rated & sessed & not reced
and alsoe of such stock as is in their hands or in the hands of any
