At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our sovereign Lord the
King holden for the County of middx at Hicks hall in St. John street in
the County aforesaid by adjornment on Friday the twenty third
day of July in the tenth yeare of the reign of our sovereign Lord
George the second King of Great Britain France & Ireland King
Defender of the Faith before Richard Newton< no role > Anthony Chamber< no role > lain
Alexander Garrett< no role > william Booth< no role > Esquires & other their Fellows
Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the peace in the
County aforesaid and also to heare & determine divers felonys
trespasses & other misdeeds committed in the same County

Whereas the Church wardens & overseers of the poor of the parish of
st. Martin in the fields in this County of middx Exhibited their humble petition
and appeal unto this Court at this present General Quarter session
of the peace begun & holden for the County on monday the
nineteenth day of July instant (wch session was from thence
continued by several adjornments untill this present Friday the
twenty third day of the same month of July and is now on the same
day holden by adjornment for the same County) setting forth That
by virtue of a warrant or order under the hands & seales of
peter Guerin< no role > & valentine Hilder< no role > Esquires two of his Maties Justices
of the peace for the City and Liberty of westminster in the said
County [..] of Middx (one being of the Quorum) bearing date
the twenty sixth day of June last past James Macclair< no role > and Infant
Bastard child was removed from the parish of St. Mary Le Strand
in the said County of middx to the said parish of St. Martin in the
fields as the place of his last legal settlement whereby the petrs.
Conceived themselves to be aggrieved, And that thereof they
appealed to this Court against the Judgment of the said two
Justices, the matter of which appeal was appointed to be heard &
determined by this Court on this present Friday the twenty third day
of July instant, Now Forasmuch as this Court is of opinion to
adjourn the hearing of the said appeale, It is Ordered by the
Court that the hearing & determining the matter of the said
appeal be and the same in hereby adjourned untill the next [..]
General session of the peace to be holden for this County, And [..]
Church wardens & overseers of the poor of the said parish of St Mary
Le strand (upon service of a Copy of this order) and all per [..]
concerned do attend the Court of the said next General Session of the
peace to be holden for this County by adjornment on saturday the
fourth day of September next at nine of the Clock in the forenoon [..]
heare & abide the Judgment & determination of the same Court [..]
the said appeal,
