the Parish of St. George Hanover Square
in theCountyofMiddx
and to the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of theParish of St: Giles
Cripplegate in the City of London and Weach and
every of them

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for theCounty of Middxaforesaid
(one whereof being of Quorum) by the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of St. George Hanover Square
ThatSarah Elwood< no role > the Widow of John Elwood< no role >
aged about Forty years, and her two Children by
her said late Husband Deced (to wit) Elizabeth< no role >
aged about Six years and Lucy< no role > aged about three
years are
lately intruded, and come into the said Parish of St. George
Hanover Square
andarebecome Chargeable to the same; We
the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises upon
Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the same
to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the saidSarah Elwood< no role > , and her two
Children to be in the Parish of St: Giles
Cripplegate in the City of London

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to
require you, on Sight hereof, to remove and
convey the saidSarah Elwood< no role > and her two
Children
from and out of your saidParish of St. George
Hanover Square
to the saidParish of St. Giles Cripplegate

andthemdeliver unto the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to some, or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof,
who are hereby required to receive and provide for
themaccording to Law. Given under our
Hands and Seals this29th.Day ofJuly 1748
