For the County
of Hertford (to witt)}

Whereas two persons were this day brought
before mee by the Constable of Bushey in the
County aforesaid who own their Names to
be John Ryon< no role > an Irishman and Mary< no role >
his wife upon a Suspition of Felony by
them Committed in the Parish of Kentish
Town in the County of Middlesex but
apprehend in the Parish of Bushey
aforesaid and the said John Ryon Ses
hee is not guilty of any Robery but
as to the said Mary Ryon shee made
a Voluntary Confession as followeth
(that is to say) That Yesterday in the
afternoon about one or two of the Clock shee
was att dinner att the house of one John Kenney< no role >
Labourer in Kentish Town aforesaid with her
husband and one Locklyn Kelly< no role > an Irishman
Eateing of herringe and the said Locklyn Kelly
than told her hee fonged for some bacon and could
tell her where shall might have itt and dorsited
her to the next house no person being then in
the house South shee went to the window where
part of a pane of glass was broke and that shee
broke the whole pane and by means thereof putt
her arm into the house and opened the Sash window
and got into the house and took a price of bason
thereout which shee now Produced and then [..]
Unfostned the door and carryed the bacon to the
said Kelly Saith the said Kelly told her there was
some money in the house and directed her where
itt was and accordingly shee went again into the said
house and found in a drawer twenty seven Shillings
in Silver which shall took away with some Crimes and
than gave Kelly six pence and afterwards changed
twenty one Shillings of the Silver for a guinea which
guinea she gave John Ryon her husband Sa [..]
