The Information of James Anderson< no role > of St. Martin in the Fields Cabinet ma [..]
touching the death of John Anderson< no role > taken Oath this twentieth day of
September 1751.

Who saith that on Saturday the 31st. day of August last about [..] Eight [..]
o Clock at night he was in Company wth Wm. Thompson< no role > and James Matter< no role > at Mr. [..]
Blakes the Scotch Arms in New round Court , That abt. 10: oClock at night [..] the [..]
[..] John Anderson< no role > came in to their Company as as Aquaintance and said he would
be his pet. before they went That this Informant pulled out Twelve New half pence
that the deced offered a Wager relating to the height of the half pence placed us [..]
one another, which Wager (of a not of been) Mr. Thompson losh, after which they [..]
James Matter offered another Wager wth the died of a pot of been about the heighth of each other
when this Informant gave his Opinion that the said Matter has lost, that Matter [..]
Refased to pay the said Wager and the deced Pair the same [..] for him;
This Informant the said Decesed, Matter and Thompson, then came out of [..]
the House together [..] about the hour of twelve at Night in Order to
go home, and going along Chandois Street the deced told Matter he was a
Scoundiel for not paying the Wager that the said Matter replied he was
His Man at any time, when the deced Answer'd there was nothing like the
time present and Matter replied that he did not choose to fight at present
in the Space of about Two minutes afterwards this Inform: being a little before
them turn'd and saw the said Matter of nike the deced three or four Blows but [..]
Saw no Weapon, but preceived Anderson was wounded by the Blood that
came from him and that the deced and the said Matter then made their way home [..]
that when they came home they found a Wound on the side of the head near the [..]
left Temple, that a Surgeon being sent for said he was afraidith was danger [..]
and that there was a Wound on the left Ann and Thime, This Informant
further saith that he continued very Ill untill the 19th Instant when
he died
